ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

For all members the annual membership fee is £20, due in January each year. This includes registration with the ASA as a Category 1 (swimming) or 3 (non-swimming) member.

Swimmers competing in meets at ASA Licenced Level 3 and above at any time during the year pay a supplementary subscription of £15 to cover the additional cost of ASA Category 2 registration. This is also due in January, or immediately a member decides to take part in relevant meets. Category 2 swimmers are listed in the national rankings, which are available via the ASA website - so you can see how you stand in the country!

SWIMMING FEES (paid termly)

SWIM SCHOOL: For one lesson a week the term fees are £75. For more than one lesson a week the fee is £100 per term. Terms generally correspond to school terms but watch out for additional lessons that may occasionally be available.

SQUAD FEES: For Development , Junior, Senior, Masters and Adult Development squads the termly fees are £90 per term for one session a week, or £120 per term for more than one session. Swim sessions continue throughout the year, though there is a reduced programme during school holidays. Deatils are available on the Calendar page.

NEW MEMBERS are always welcome and are allowed two sessions to experience the activities and atmosphere of the club before any fees are demanded. For new members who join after the start of a term, fees are calculated on a pro rata basis, using the number of weeks remaining in the term after the trial sessions.
For example, if a prospective member has trial sessions in weeks six and seven, the termly fee will be £8 for each week from week eight to of the term.
Membership subscriptions however cannot be reduced.

Gift Aid - Help the club now !

As Broomfield Park Swimming Club is recognised as a charity by HM Revenue& Customs (HMRC), we are entitled to reclaim the basic rate of tax on membership subscriptions. This means that for every £1 paid, we can claim an extra 25 pence. This is great news for the club as we have the potential to claim up to around £1,500 per year, based on current membership levels. This will help considerably in covering our costs and enable us to keep the fees to a minimum.

HOWEVER, we are only allowed to reclaim this money from HMRC in respect of those people who have signed a Gift Aid Declaration Form. This is a very simple form (just name, address & signature) which needs to be completed by every adult swimmer or a parent of children under 18, the only requirement being that the person signing the form is an income tax payer paying income tax at least equal to the amount we will reclaim:
£5 for each membership subscription.
